Please note that the deadline for submitting proposals for the annual ISSS/ISAC conference is in two weeks—Friday, July 31. This year’s conference will be held in beautiful Monterey, California, from Thursday, October 15, to Saturday, October 17, 2009. The conference theme is “Insecurity and Durable Disorder: Challenges to the State in an Age of Anxiety.” Paper and panel proposals are welcome addressing a wide range of issues, including (but not limited to) international security, arms control and proliferation, regional conflict, environmental security, intelligence, and changes in the nature of warfare and the strategic environment.
The conference is being sponsored by the Naval Postgraduate School, the Monterey Institute for International Studies, and the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, and it will be held at the Hyatt Regency Monterey.
