The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy was formally established in 2004 as an autonomous graduate school of the National University of Singapore. Its mission is to provide opportunities for the education and training of the next generation of Asian policy-makers and leaders, with the objective of raising the standards of governance throughout the region, improving the lives of people in the region and, in so doing, contribute to the transformation of Asia. The PhD programme will strengthen the capability and effectiveness of candidates in researching complex multi-dimensional policy issues. It will equip candidates with the necessary theoretical frameworks, research methods and tools to conduct scientific inquiry to address contemporary public policy issues. Fully funded scholarships are available, covering tuition fees and monthly stipend. Applications close on 15th November 2008. More information may be found on the school's website.
