The Ethnicity, Nationalism and Migration Studies (ENMISA) Section is pleased to annouce the winners of its annual competitions. The 2008 Distinguished Scholar is Aristide R. Zolberg (New School for Social Research). There will be a roundtable panel honoring his contributions on Friday, March 26 from 3:45 - 5:30 during the ISA convention. The 2007 Martin O. Heisler Graduate Student Paper Award receipents (presenters at the Chicago Conference) include first place winner, Tristan James Mabry "Laitin on Language" and second place Omar McDoom "Why Men Kill: The Microfoundations of Ethnic Radicalization and Extremism: Insights from Rwanda." They will receive their awards in San Francisco at the ENMISA business meeting.
This year the ENMISA business meeting will be in Franciscan B at the San Francisco Hilton, Friday, March 28, 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. Please join us for the ENMISA joint reception, Thursday, March 27, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., in Imperial A at the San Francisco Hilton.
