The first workshop of the new British International Studies Association (BISA) working group on 'International Relations as a Social Science' will be organised at London School Economics (Clement House) on Saturday, 6 October 2007. This one-day workshop will be on IR After Postpositivism: Still a Social Science?. The aim of this workshop is to bring together interested scholars and research students to consider whether the field of International Relations can still be considered a social science following the emergence and prominence of postpositivism in the field. More specifically, what can, and indeed should, a postpositivist social scientific IR look like? To register for the workshop, please email Marjo Koivisto (M.A.KoivistoATlse.ac.uk).
