The Intelligence Studies Section (ISS) of ISA is pleased to announce the opening of the annual competition for the Intelligence Studies Section Student Paper Award. The award is made annually by ISS in recognition of excellence for the best undergraduate or graduate student paper on a subject dealing with intelligence presented at the ISA Annual Convention.

Eligibility
- The award is open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in any university or college in a humanities, social science, or similar program.
- Only papers presented at the current year's ISA Annual Convention are eligible.
Submission/Nomination
- Papers may not exceed 40 pages, including notes. Theses and other major research projects are not eligible, but chapters from theses, research projects, or dissertations may be submitted within the specified length.
- For co-authored papers, the student nominee must be the principal investigator and author to be eligible for consideration.
- Self-nominations are permitted.
- Nominations should include the student's name, academic institution, complete contact information, including telephone and e-mail address, and an electronic copy of the presented paper.
- Please send nominations to the Selection Committee Chair, Dr. Glenn Hastedt (hastedgp@jmu.edu) or to the Intelligence Studies Section chair, Dr. Daniel Gressang (dgressang@caslgov.org), and identify the submission with the subject line "ISS Student Paper Award Submission."
- Nominations should be submitted by June 30th.
Prize
- A $500.00 (USD) cash prize is awarded to the recipient and presented at the Intelligence Studies Section Business Meeting at the next ISA Annual Convention.
