ISA Governance, Policies & Procedures
The International Studies Association is governed by the principles laid forth in the ISA Constitution. Additional ISA policies are:

Any changes made to the policies and procedures of ISA must be approved by the ISA Governing Council. Those interested in altering ISA policies and/or procedures should petition the current ISA President for placement on the Governing Council Meeting Agenda.
ISA Leadership
The leadership of ISA consists of two main groups of individuals, the Governing Council and the Committees.

- Region Presidents
- Section Chairs
- Caucus Chairs
- Journal Editors
The Executive Committee consists of: the President, the three Vice Presidents; the President Elect; the immediate Past President; the Treasurer; the Executive Director; and four (4) Members of the Governing Council selected by its Membership. The Annual Convention Program Chair(s) serve as Ex-Officio Member(s) of the Executive Committee.
Adjunct Members consist of: the three Vice President-Elects; the six Non-North American Members-at-Large, the Annual Convention Program Chair(s) and the UN-NGO Representative.

ISA Leadership Resources
This Resource seeks to familiarize ISA Leadership with the organizational structure and personnel of ISA as well as to provide useful information and guidelines regarding the responsibilities of ISA service.
Leadership resource materials include: Governing Council & Executive Committee, Journal Editor, Committee, Region, Section & Caucus and Program/Section Program Chair Resources (via MyISA, Annual Convention Administration).
