Diversity Committee

Please note that this information will be outdated by the end of the 2013 ISA Annual Convention. We will update ISA Leadership information (including officers and committees) on our new website in mid-April. A summary of new ISA Committee members is available for download here (PDF).

Committee on the Status
of Representation and Diversity

A reformation of the Diversity committee originally established in 1998, the new Committee on the Status of Representation and Diversity is tasked by the 2011 Governing Council to focus on underrepresented groups within ISA.

About

Terms

  • Five members serve three-year, staggered terms
  • Terms officially begin with the start of the ISA Annual Convention meeting of the first year listed and end with the closing of the ISA Governing Council meeting of the final year listed

Selection

  • Permanent standing committee
  • The Committee is appointed by ISA President with approval by ISA Governing Council
  • Executive Director of ISA will serve as ex-officio member
  • Previous Diversity Committee Chair (Dai) will serve 1 year in transition

Responsibilities

The Committee aims to work jointly with other groups and caucuses to promote the diversity enterprise of the ISA as a whole. This includes sponsoring and hosting conference events and panel with ISA groups and caucuses.
