It's been a while since I've written a post here. But I do have some things to share with everyone.
First, if you would like to read our 2015-2016 annual report, it's now available.
Second, you may have noticed that the December issue isn't out yet. One of the great things about working with Oxford is that it has given us the opportunity to standardize a lot of formatting and style elements. Unfortunately, that's also created a number of issues with articles produced before we had all the templates in order. This is the last issue that should be affected.
Third, many submitters and readers may have noticed that ISQ is fighting a limited, but intense, war against acronyms. We've generally focused on rarely used acronyms, or those specific to an article. But we're widening that war to include those that function, in essence, as insider jargon. We ask that authors think seriously about whether they really need to write, say, "TAN" rather than just spell out what they mean.
That's all for now. Have a happy Gregorian New Year!
