In addition to the ISA Annual Convention in San Francisco, ISA's groups host conferences around the U.S. and across the globe. Many of our groups just announced their conferences. The International Studies Association (ISA) and Oxford University Press (OUP) have announced they will partner on a joint publishing project to revitalize The International Studies Encyclopedia as a part of the Oxford Research Encyclopedia (ORE) program. Oxford University Press and the ISA will work together to review existing articles in the Encyclopedia and to commission new articles, forming the basis of a leading-edge, continuously updated, digital Research Encyclopedia of International Studies.

Representing over 100 countries, ISA has more than 6,500 members worldwide and is the most respected and widely known scholarly association in this field. Endeavoring to create communities of scholars dedicated to international studies, ISA is divided into 6 geographic subdivisions of ISA (Regions), 29 thematic groups (Sections) and 4 Caucuses which provide opportunities to exchange ideas and research with local colleagues and within specific subject areas.
