We're delighted to announce the preliminary program for the 2015 ISA Northeast Conference in Providence!  

The deadline to register for the conference is September 25.  We will be forced to drop anyone who does not register by this time.  If you know that you will NOT be able to attend or will not be able to serve as Chair / Discussant, PLEASE notify the conference organizers as soon as possible (isane2015@isanet.org).

Please consider joining us for our Friday luncheon, which will feature Anne Norton of the University of Pennsylvania (https://www.sas.upenn.edu/polisci/people/standing-faculty/anne-norton).  For special dietary requirements, please contact Harry Gould (gouldh@fiu.edu).

In addition, we have secured hotel rooms at a special conference rate: http://www.isanet.org/Conferences/NE-Providence-2015/Travel. The deadline to make your reservation under this rate is October 15.

The International Studies Association Northeast Region is pleased to announce our 2015 annual conference, November 6th - 7th, in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. ISA-NE invites paper, panel and roundtable proposals on any topic substantively related to world politics, for our annual conference. Particularly welcome are submissions related to our 2015 conference theme, Untimely Meditations: History, Sociology, and Aesthetics in International Studies. Proposal submissions open May 1st, 2015. Please submit your proposals through the ISA submission system. The proposal submission deadline is Friday, 26 June 2015.

The ISA Northeast 2014 Conference will be held in Baltimore, Maryland, USA on November 7th - 8th, 2014. The theme of the conference is Concept and Conceptualization in International Relations. The International Studies Association-Northeast Region invites applications for a One-Day Graduate Student Workshop, “Interpretive and Relational Research Methodologies". The workshop will be held in conjunction with the International Studies Association-Northeast’s annual conference, which will take place from 7-8 November in Baltimore, Maryland. Although all attendees of the conference may come to the workshop sessions, the 6-8 graduate students officially participating in the workshop will have the opportunity to receive detailed feedback and specialized instruction in the methodologies under discussion.

The committee was tasked with recognizing “the book that most advances the vibrancy of international studies as a pluralist discipline” published in 2012. The committee considered 16 nominated books and now announces the two winners.
