The Program Chair and Section Program Chairs have been working hard all summer to craft a stimulating program for our 2017 Annual Convention in Baltimore next February. The preliminary program launches next Friday, September 16th.

ISA is pleased to announce a new professional development opportunity taking place at the Annual Convention in 2017. This full-day teaching workshop will be held on the Tuesday before the annual conference and is open to all ISA members. 
We are excited to announce that we are sponsoring the three Working Groups at the upcoming ISA 2017 Annual Convention in Baltimore, Maryland.

Welcome to the second installment of the ISA Sapphire Series! The Sapphire Series is designed to highlight key issues in the field and in international affairs. These talks bring together featured scholars and practitioners to discuss current world events, trends in academic research, and new challenges in teaching and learning. These sessions have been recorded and made available to ISA members on our Professional Resource Center website.

Following years of activism around issues of discrimination, harassment, and assault within the academy at large, and within the ISA as a leading professional organization, a series of ten panels at the 2017 ISA Annual Convention in Baltimore aims to confront systemic discrimination, violent practices, and a culture of indifference and complicity that has allowed these problems to persist.

The International Studies Association

Representing over 100 countries, ISA has more than 6,500 members worldwide and is the most respected and widely known scholarly association in this field. Endeavoring to create communities of scholars dedicated to international studies, ISA is divided into 6 geographic subdivisions of ISA (Regions), 29 thematic groups (Sections) and 4 Caucuses which provide opportunities to exchange ideas and research with local colleagues and within specific subject areas.
