(1) The 2017 Founding International Conference of the Philippine International Studies Organization is organized and sponsored by PhISO and the Department of International Studies of the Far Eastern University (FEU-IS). The overall theme is “Disciplining the Discipline: The History, Theory and Practice of International Relations in the Philippines” and it will be held on March 08, 09, and 10, 2017 at the Far Eastern University, Manila. Paper or panel (abstract) proposals are due on November 10, 2016. To join the conference, please go to www.phiso.org/conferences/join-the-conference/.

(2) The international workshop is entitled Exploring Global South Contributions in International Relations. It is organized and sponsored by PhISO, the Department of International Studies of the Far Eastern University (FEU-IS), and the Global South Caucus of International Studies of the International Studies Association (ISA-GSCIS). It will be held concurrently with the PhISO international conference on March 09 and 10, 2017 at the Far Eastern University, Manila. Travel grants are available to selected participants. Paper (abstract) proposals are due on November 20, 2016. To join the workshop, please go to www.phiso.org/join-the-workshop/.
