On behalf of the International Security Studies Section (ISSS) of the International Studies Association (ISA), I want to inform you of the opportunity to nominate articles for possible recognition in the field of international security studies.  The ISSS is inaugurating its annual Best Security Article Award.  The award is meant to recognize an article by an ISA member on any aspect of security studies that excels in originality, significance, and rigor, published in the prior calendar year (this year, that would be 2015). The author (or authors) will be presented with a $500 prize and a plaque at the 2017 annual International Studies Association conference in Baltimore. 

Please email a copy of the nominated article to the committee members along with a short (1-page maximum) justification for the nomination.  The deadline for nominations is June 1.
