The Peace Studies Section of the ISA invites nominations for up to three senior scholars for our Distinguished Scholar Award. Nominees should have a substantial record research, practice and/or publishing in the field of peace and conflict studies and, ideally, a record of service to the ISA. Please send nominations, including a letter of support and CV to Landon Hancock (lhancoc2@kent.edu), chair of the section. Self-nominations are welcome.

Due to ISA’s Convention schedule, nominations for the 2016 Convention in Atlanta must be submitted to me by May 30th, 2015.

If you or your organization is interested in supporting this award please contact me. It was only through the generous donations of many supporters that we were able to begin this tradition, and it will only by through continued support that we will be able to show our appreciation for the many distinguished scholars who created and nurtured our field.

The International Studies Association

Representing over 100 countries, ISA has more than 6,500 members worldwide and is the most respected and widely known scholarly association in this field. Endeavoring to create communities of scholars dedicated to international studies, ISA is divided into 6 geographic subdivisions of ISA (Regions), 29 thematic groups (Sections) and 4 Caucuses which provide opportunities to exchange ideas and research with local colleagues and within specific subject areas.
