News and Updates from FPA

Two quick announcements:

  1. We have not yet received many nominations for FPA officers at large.  Please send your nominations (including self-nominations) to dlarson@polisci.ucla.edu
  2. The Gulf Research Meeting is sponsored by the Geneva-based Gulf Research Center Foundation and takes place every summer at Cambridge University. Those whose papers are accepted receive travel funding to Cambridge. This year the conference runs from August 25-28. There is a particular focus on various aspects of U.S. foreign policy in the Persian Gulf region that may interest our members. Although the formal deadline for paper proposals is February 15, I understand that this is often extended. Info is here: http://www.gulfresearchmeeting.net/. Contact Steve Hook shook@kent.edu
