The ISSS Outstanding Graduate Paper Award recognizes the best graduate student paper on any aspect of security studies presented each year at an ISA conference.  I am writing to request nominations for this award for papers presented by graduate students either in April at ISA San Francisco, or October 4-6 at ISSS-ISAC in Washington.  The deadline for nominations is October 8, 2013.

Panel chairs and discussants are especially encouraged to submit nominations (preferably with an electronic copy of the paper).  Nominations can also come from faculty mentors, and in either case should include a one-paragraph justification. The award includes a plaque and $500, which will be presented at the ISSS reception at the ISA conference in Toronto in March 2014.  Please submit nominations to the committee chairperson, Gale Mattox, at mattox@usna.edu.

Please nominate any worthy papers!

I look forward to seeing many of you in Washington next month.
