ISA West

Washington

Welcome to ISA West

ISA-West is a regional division of the International Studies Association, and membership in ISA will automatically include membership in the Region for those members living in the defined geographic space.  The ISA West region covers the western portion of the US including Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

ISA West has an annual meeting, currently the last Friday and Saturday in September in Pasadena, California, and welcomes participants from all of ISA’s regions and sections. This smaller conference provides an excellent opportunity for International Studies scholars, including faculty, students and practitioners, to share their research and pedagogical expertise in a collegial atmosphere and low-cost professional forum.

The ISA West conferences include a focus on important international concerns and challenges, as well as specialized workshops on professional development. These conferences are conducted in collaboration with the ISA sections of International Communication, International Ethics, and ALIAS, and, therefore, the meetings are also particularly interested in hosting panels and speakers in these areas.
