Meet the ISA Staff

Jennifer Fontanella

As the Director of Operations and Finance, Jennifer oversees all the operations of the ISA-HQ office and has responsibility for managing the ISA's budget and finances as well as coordinating future convention planning. Jennifer works with the Executive Director and ISA leadership to coordinate ISA practices and procedures.

Melissa Ballard

Melissa manages our day-to-day finances. Melissa also serves as our Travel Grant Coordinator, where she manages our travel grant programs in our various conferences.
Kristy Belton, Ph.D.
Director of Professional Development
As Director of Professional Development with the International Studies Association, Kristy works closely with our Committees and Leadership and with special programming for our annual convention.
Liz Fausett-Fuhrman

As the Organizational Systems Manager, Elizabeth oversees many aspects of our conference operations. Primarily, she works with the Program Chairs, Section Program Chairs and Region Conferences to assist with the technical process of producing conference programs.

Donalyn Maneggia
Advertising and Sponsorship Manager / (860) 486-4512
Donalyn is responsible for planning and managing the Exhibit Hall at the Annual Convention, advertising in the Convention Program and Sponsorship Opportunities for ISA events as well as Sections and Regions receptions at the Annual Convention.

Lembe Tiky, Ph.D.
Director of Academic Development / (860) 486-1837
As Director of Academic Development Tiky oversees the ISA Research & Workshop Grants program, professional development, ISA program evaluation, and he chairs the Junior Scholar Symposium.
Alex Walker
Organizational Systems Specialist / (860) 486-6862
Alex helps to facilitate section, caucus and region affairs, and supports conference operations. She also manages officer elections and appointments.
Jeanne White
Director of Conventions and Meetings, for the International Studies Association / (520) 396-4546
In her role as Director of Conventions & Meetings Jeanne is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all non-panel functions associated with the Annual Convention and bi-annual International Conferences. Jeanne performs the marketing and sales functions for the Convention Program, oversees Exhibition and Advertising sales, and manages hotel and vendor contracts.
