ISA West Pasadena 2017, Hotel and Travel

Please note that the ISA room block at the Westin is sold out at the group rate. We are investigating additional options and will post an update shortly.

ISA-West Conference attendees are invited to stay at the Westin Pasadena. A block of rooms has been reserved for September 21, 2017 - September 24, 2017. The group rate will be available until August 31st, or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. Please note: group rates are available over the official conference dates until sold out or until the cutoff date. If you select dates before or after official dates, you may get an error message asking you to contact the hotel to determine if hotel can offer group rate over the additional days.

Travel Funding

Travel Grants

Travel grant awards will consist of a small amount of money, which may be applied to the hotel, airfare or registration. Receipts are required for reimbursement. To apply, please submit a short outline of your current funding sources and indicate your university and the current location you will be traveling from. Please include your proposed abstract and paper title in the application. Preference will be given to members of the ISA-West region. Applications should be sent to Dr. Veronica Ward at veronica.ward@usu.edu.

The International Studies Association

Representing over 100 countries, ISA has more than 6,500 members worldwide and is the most respected and widely known scholarly association in this field. Endeavoring to create communities of scholars dedicated to international studies, ISA is divided into 6 geographic subdivisions of ISA (Regions), 29 thematic groups (Sections) and 4 Caucuses which provide opportunities to exchange ideas and research with local colleagues and within specific subject areas.
