Travel Grants for ISA 2016

ISA is a pleased to provide travel assistance to eligible attendees of our Annual Convention. 

Please Note: You are not required to Register for the Convention or be an ISA Member to apply for a travel grant. However, if you receive a grant you will be required to register for the Convention by our October 23rd, 2015 registration deadline. You also must be a member to pick-up your grant check in Atlanta.

ISA 2016 Travel Grant Application

Travel Grant Applications are Closed

Travel grants are made available by ISA to supplement travel costs for members presenting at the convention. The grants are not intended to cover all travel expenses. Applications closed September 8th.

Award decisions will be announced in mid-October.

Guidelines for Applicants

ISA has many policies for travel grants. Here are the key things to know:

  • In order to receive your funds at the Conference, you need to be a current ISA Member. 
  • You need to provide receipts (preferably via email) of your eligible expenses (usually flights, hotels, etc.).
  • You must check in with the travel grant desk at the Conference.
  • Deadline: September 8, 2015

The International Studies Association

Representing over 100 countries, ISA has more than 6,500 members worldwide and is the most respected and widely known scholarly association in this field. Endeavoring to create communities of scholars dedicated to international studies, ISA is divided into 6 geographic subdivisions of ISA (Regions), 29 thematic groups (Sections) and 4 Caucuses which provide opportunities to exchange ideas and research with local colleagues and within specific subject areas.
